Thompson Training Center Comes on Strong
Thee MaCade, a Thee Desperado son, began his 2nd endurance year with a 5th place finish in the Biltmore Challenge 50 mile endurance race and a 1st place finish in the Arabian Horse Association local ride competition held May 5th on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate in Ashevile, NC.

Thompson Training Center Takes the Challenge
Thompson Training Center, owned and operated by John and Susan Thompson, in Sweetwater, Tennessee are preparing for the biggest horse race in endurance, The Great Santa Fe Trail Horse Race.
The Great Santa Fe Trail Horse Race starts September 3 in Santa Fe, New Mexico and will end 800 miles later on September 15 in Independence Missouri. It is broken down into 10 rides of 50-55 miles a day over 510 miles. Only 100 teams will be allowed to enter with about 500 horses dashing over the landscape. Already, 76 riders from 22 states have signed up, paying entry fees ranging from $3,500 to $4,500. [read more]
