Endurance Horse Story
Thompson Training Center Comes on Strong

Thee MaCade, a Thee Desperado son, began his 2nd endurance year with a 5th place finish in the Biltmore Challenge 50 mile endurance race and a 1st place finish in the Arabian Horse Association local ride competition held May 5th on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate in Ashevile, NC.

Thee MaCade demonstrated his stamina and athletic ability in the worst conditions to finish 5th out of 103 entries at his second race of the 2007 season. The weather was rainy, the trail was muddy and took its toll on 26 entries that were either pulled or elected not to continue. Biltmore, once again, lives up to its reputation of being one of the most challenging races on the east coast. In 2006, Thee MaCade finished the Biltmore 50 13th out of 81 entries.

Thee MaCade, a seven year old bay gelding, owned by Dr. Matthew and Wendy Roberts, Maiden Chase Arabians in McDonald, TN and is trained and ridden by Susan Thompson, Thompson Training Center LLC in Sweetwater, TN.

Thee MaCade completed the first race of the season at the Trace Tribute 55 mile endurance ride in Primm Springs, TN on April 6, 2007.
